The following policy governs the return of merchandise to Asama Enterprises Corporation Limited for warranty. In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refers to Asama Enterprises Corporation, “site” refers to Asama Bicycles and Coast Parts and Accessories excluding any linked sites, “you”, “your” and “user” refers to everyone who accesses this site, and “merchandise” and “product” are used interchangeably to refer to any merchandise that you have ordered. All warranties are subject to the Terms of Returns and will require a Return Materials Authorization number to qualify for consideration of warranty.
Asama Bicycles and Coast Parts and Accessories Warranty MerchandiseWe offer a limited warranty policy to warrant the following merchandise to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, from the date of purchase, for the following durations:
1 year warranty on Asama and Coast parts and accessories
3 year warranty on 604, Asama, and Kuwahara frames listed on this site
3 year warranty on 604, Asama, and Kuwahara dual suspension frames that come as complete bicycles and 1 year on its parts
5 year warranty on 604, Asama, and Kuwahara aluminum hardtail frames that come as complete bicycles and 1 year on its parts
10 year warranty on Asama and Kuwahara steel hardtail frames that come as complete bicycles and 1 year on its parts
For merchandise that requires warranty consideration, you will be required to provide a bill of sale for the product.
All merchandise for warranty consideration is to be sent prepaid. Use a traceable and cost effective courier as we will not be responsible for the freight costs incurred to get the merchandise to us. We will also not be responsible for lost or damaged merchandise as it is the responsibility of the courier for successful shipment of the merchandise.
No merchandise for warranty consideration will be replaced until the original one is received by us for inspection and approval. NO exceptions. If you wish for a replacement to be sent out prior to inspection, you will be billed for the product and the freight costs to do so.
All warranty merchandise is subject to inspection and approval by us. Merchandise found to be defective by us will be, at our discretion, repaired or replaced at no charge - if you wish for the repair or replacement to be sent by AIR, you will be billed for the freight costs on your invoice.
We will not be responsible for any labor charges associated with removal, installation or assembly of parts, accessories, frames and bicycles. We will also not be responsible for the changes to parts that may be necessary upon the receipt of a warranty replacement frame.
Warranty for Asama and Coast parts and accessories, and 604/Asama/Kuwahara frames and complete bicycles will only extend to product that is properly maintained and operated under normal conditions and use. This warranty excludes normal wear and tear, use in harsh conditions, and claimed defects due to abuse and misuse (including but not limited to crashes and collisions), alteration, improper assembly and neglect. The warranty is made to the original owner only and is not transferable.
Shimano Warranty MerchandiseThe following is for information purposes only and is presented solely for your convenience. Please refer to Shimano at 1.877.377.5211 and Shimano’s website (http://bike.shimano.com/publish/content/global_cycle/en/us/index/tech_support/warranty3.html) for the warranty details.
Shimano offers a limited 3-2-1 warranty policy to warrant their bicycle division product free from non-conformities in material and workmanship for the following durations:
3 year warranty on Dura-Ace and XTR components
2 year warranty on all other components
1 year warranty on shoes and other soft goods*
Please be aware that we are a Shimano Warranty Center. This does not include the obligations of a Shimano Full Service Center. As a Shimano Warranty Center, we will gladly accept all Shimano products on our site for warranty consideration.
*Please direct warranty for shoes and soft goods as well as any Shimano products that requires service to Shimano direct.
To obtain Shimano warranty, you must send your Shimano product together with the original bill of sale, your charge or credit receipt or other satisfactory proof of the date of purchase of the product. Any postage, insurance or shipping costs incurred in sending your Shimano product to us for warranty are your responsibility. Please be aware that if Shimano does not accept your Shimano warranty product, we will not be able to replace or credit that product.
All information within the sections Return Materials Authorization, Return Merchandise and Asama Bicycles and Coast Parts and Accessories Warranty Merchandise apply to all Shimano merchandise for warranty or return consideration.
